1999, a great year




I got an endless discussion going with a friend about the best movie of the year 1999













He says the best movie of that year is The Matrix, i say it's Fight Club

What do you guys think, or is there a third, even better movie from that year we are missing here?

    Well don't get me wrong, The Matrix was a brilliantly written movie, but Keanu Reeves's terrible acting really brought it down. By comparison in fight club, Brad Pitt and Edward Norton were really at the top of their game.

    I go with Fight Club.

    The Matrix was about special effects which are less impressive today because special effects have improved so much since 1999. Fight Club is timeless.

    I think fight club holds up better in the long run, but I loved both of them at the time, hard to pick one over the other.

    I liked Matrix a lot, so yea, Matrix. Lately i re-watched the whole triology, enjoyed it again.
