American Psyco
I just watched this movie and i really don't know what to think.
There are 2 very nice scenes: The one with the cards and the one where he kills Jared Leto, but i really don't know what to think of the rest of the movie. I didn't really like it but i didn't dislike it either.
What do you guys think?

The Godfather
There seems to be a difference of opinion when it comes to the two first Godfather-movies. Some people say that the first Godfather is the best movie from the trilogy, other claim that the second movie was the best one.
I think that it's just a choice between Acting and Story. I have to admit that the storyline of the second movie was better then the one from the first one. Not that i say that the first one had a crappy story. They are both masterpieces but one has to be better then the other.
On the other hand: The Godfather himself. In the first movie there is Don Vito Corleone, played by Marlon Brando. That man is The Godfather. He was made for that role. His son, Michael Corleone, played by Al Pascino is nothing more then the son of the Godfather. Not the Godfather himself. The character and acting skills of Marlon Brando are two things that just made that first movie. The other movies, without him, are just not the same.
What do you guys think? One or two?

IMDb Top 20 - Best movies of all times
Hi guys,
I was just surfing on IMDb when i took another look at the top 250. And i don't know... Maybe it's because i'm not a fan of Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings but i don't really agree with these 20 best movies. I'll make my own top 20 and post them soon.
What do you guys think of this top 20? Agree or not?

Characters
The most important element of a movie is a character. This character is made or fails at the actor who plays him or her. There are a lot of awesome characters in the history of film who just made the movie to what it became.
My favourite character of all times is Tyler Durden from Fight Club, played by Brad Pitt. His lines, the way he acts, etc. ; everything is just so.... Finished.
I also like Hans Landa from Inglorious Basterds, The Dude from The Big Lebowski, Mister Blonde from Reservoir Dogs, Vito Corleone from The Godfather,...

Faster Pussycat, Kill! Kill!
Has anybody seen this movie? I have, and i liked it. If you enjoy all elements of a classic b-movie then you will as well.
In 2012 there will come out a remake of this piece of awesomeness, but i can't find who is gonna direct it. Anybody know more about this?

Grindhouse, the competition
You guys already know i'm a huge fan of Quentin Tarantino. I love every single movie he made, except one.
Not that it's a bad movie, but because someone did better. Someone beated him at his own game.
Together with Robert Rodriquez he started the Grindhouse-project. Tarantino made his movie "Death Proof", while Rodriquez made "Planet Terror".
Like a said: Death Proof isn't a bad movie, but Planet Terror is just so awesome that Tarantino fades away in the shade of his Mexican friend.

Tarantino, a genius
As i already tols you guys, i'm a huge fan of Quentin Tarantino. He's the reason why a started filmschool.
He has a whole new perception on movies because of his love for the good old B-films and exploitationmovies.
He is also the greatest screenwriter i know. His dialogues are genius and epic. They don't really tell anything but they stay interesting. Dialogues about footmassages, mayonaise and Madonna weren't interesting before Tarantino started to write them.
But i honestly don't know what's the best Tarantino-movie of all. What do you guys think?

1999, a great year
I got an endless discussion going with a friend about the best movie of the year 1999
He says the best movie of that year is The Matrix, i say it's Fight Club
What do you guys think, or is there a third, even better movie from that year we are missing here?
My life
I just love movies. More then is good for me.
I just made it through the first year of filmschool, and one step closer to realizing my dream: becomming a movie director.
I'm a huge fan of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, the people who made my love for film grow out of proportions. (So i hate it that Machete won't come out in theaters here, i'll just have to wait for the dvd release)
Anybody wonna share their favourite movie director or favourite movie?
I'l share a list of my favourite movies later, gotta make a selection from my huge collection first.
Bye
